The Doctor will safely apply a specific chemical solution to the skin, in order to resurface and improve the skin's appearance. The solution applied to your skin will cause micro-peeling of the skin, allowing the new skin to emerge within two weeks, which is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. The peeling process begins after a few days and can take a few weeks to completely heal the skin. Do expect to avoid direct sunshine and wear SPF sunscreen and a hat for protection, for the best effectiveness of this treatment.

One or more sessions and specific creams may be recommended according to the area being treated for the longest lasting results.
